A free health fair and Teddy Bear Clinic comes to Joyce University's Draper campus Saturday, Aug. 22, with a rock climbing wall, giveaways and stuffed bears for kids.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to noon at 12257 Business Park Drive, just south of Sandy. Joyce University of Nursing and Health Sciences, which has operated in the area since 1979, is hosting the fair.

Children who visit the Teddy Bear Clinic station can take home a free stuffed bear and a toy stethoscope while supplies last.

What's on offer

The fair features interactive health and wellness booths staffed by local vendors and community organizations, along with educational stations focused on first aid, fire safety and healthy living. Joyce University's event page describes the fair as a free, all-ages gathering with health resources, vendor booths, activities and food. A rock climbing wall, prizes and food round out the kid-friendly lineup.

Timing

The fair falls five days after Canyons School District classes resume. Canyons, which serves most Sandy-area students, started its 2026-27 year Monday, Aug. 17, for elementary through high school, with kindergartners following Wednesday, Aug. 19, according to ABC4.

No registration is required. Details are available on Joyce University's event page.
