Two Sandy-based companies earned spots on the 2026 Inc. 5000, the annual ranking of America's fastest-growing private companies published Tuesday, Aug. 11, according to Utah Business.

Nano-Yield, an agricultural technology firm at 9180 S. Sandy Parkway, ranked No. 2,539 nationally with 127% revenue growth from 2022 to 2025. The company reported revenue in the $10 million to $25 million range. Best of Utah Moving & Storage, listed as Sandy on the Inc. 5000, came in at No. 3,364 with 86% three-year growth and revenue between $5 million and $10 million.

The two local placements come as Utah expanded its footprint on the list, growing from 87 companies in 2025 to 96 this year. Sixteen Utah firms cracked the national top 500.

Nano-Yield: From family sod farm to global ag tech

Clark T. Bell, CEO and co-founder of Nano-Yield, founded the company in 2014 with his father Warren Bell. The business grew out of a family sod farm started in 1979 by T.H. Bell, who served as Ronald Reagan's Secretary of Education.

Nano-Yield uses nanotechnology to improve how fertilizers deliver nutrients to crops. Its technology has been used on more than 12 million acres across multiple countries, including Brazil, and the company employs between 11 and 50 people at its Sandy Parkway headquarters.

It's Nano-Yield's third time on the list, following appearances in 2019 and 2023. The company also received a 2026 Stevie Award in June for agricultural innovation.

"Agriculture is facing increasing pressure from rising costs, tighter margins, and growing demands for efficiency," Bell said in a June 16 press release announcing the Stevie Award. "Our focus has always been helping growers get more value from the inputs they already use."

Best of Utah Moving & Storage: 10,000 moves and counting

Cameron Batty, a Utah native, founded Best of Utah Moving & Storage in 2013. The company has completed more than 10,000 moves and holds a 4.9 out of 5.0 Google rating with more than 5,000 five-star reviews. It also carries an A+ Better Business Bureau rating.

The Inc. 5000 lists the company under Sandy, though its operational office is at 859 S. 600 West in Salt Lake City. The company serves Sandy, Draper, West Jordan, South Jordan and the broader Wasatch Front.

What the numbers mean

The Inc. 5000 ranks companies by percentage revenue growth over three years, requiring at least $100,000 in 2022 revenue and $2 million in 2025 revenue to qualify. The median growth rate across all 5,000 honorees was 130%, and companies on the list collectively added more than 627,000 jobs nationally over the measurement period.

Highland-based Pip Pop led all Utah companies at No. 68 with 3,976% growth.

Honorees will be celebrated at the Inc. 5000 Conference & Gala, scheduled for Oct. 14–16 in Dallas.
