The Salt Lake Fall Home Show lands at Sandy's Mountain America Expo Center, 9575 S. State St., on Oct. 9 through Oct. 11, with expanded hours and appearances by the cast of Magnolia Network's Maine Cabin Masters.

Chase Morrill, Ashley Morrill and Ryan Eldridge, stars of the cabin-restoration series that has followed the crew for more than a decade, are scheduled to take the Design Stage at 5 p.m. Oct. 9 and again at 2 p.m. Oct. 10, according to promotional material from Marketplace Events published on Deseret News.

The show's hours are wider this year. Oct. 9 doors open at 11 a.m., three hours earlier than last year's edition, and close at 8 p.m. Oct. 10 hours run 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 11 hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Beyond the celebrity appearances, the Design Stage lineup includes local presenters: Mike Hewett of King Construction Services, Cameron Allcott of Progressive Plants, Cynthia Bee of Slow the Flow, Ashley Beinvenu of NEAT Method Park City, Emily Waymont of EBW Design and experts from Utah State University Extension.

The show floor features several interactive attractions. Artisan Alley showcases handcrafted goods from local makers. Bright Beginnings by Kids Market features more than 50 young entrepreneurs. A Build A Home Scavenger Hunt offers daily prizes worth $75 or more. Other draws include the Woodland Weekend Retreat, a mountain-cabin setting with campfire talks, and the Fall Show Puppy Bowl, which pairs adoptable puppies with a BYU-versus-Utah theme.

Admission runs $10 online or $12 at the door for adults ages 13 and older. Seniors 55 and older pay $8. A four-pack of adult tickets costs $36. Children 12 and under get in free. Each ticket is valid for one day and one admission only.

Veterans, active and retired military personnel, frontline workers including fire, police and healthcare staff, teachers and teacher aides all receive free admission for themselves and one companion with valid ID. The free-admission offer, billed as Hero Day and Teacher Day, applies all three days.
