Sandy police arrested a man at an Extended Stay America hotel on kidnapping, sexual extortion and human trafficking charges.
Zaevion Lytrell Xavier Jermaine McIntosh faces two second-degree felonies and one third-degree felony, ABC4 first reported Monday, Sept. 28, citing court documents.
Officers conducted a welfare check at the hotel on AutoMall Drive, where they found McIntosh and the alleged victim and separated them for interviews. The woman told police McIntosh had coerced her into selling explicit photos to buyers on Snapchat, allegedly creating a pricing "menu" and dictating messages she sent to potential customers. Court documents describe one scheduled meet-up priced at $250 an hour.
The woman said she tried to leave the hotel, but McIntosh blocked the door. She described him as an "angry person" who had allegedly assaulted other partners.
McIntosh denied the allegations during his interview at the Sandy Police Station. After learning he could face charges, he threw a chair at the wall of the interview room, court documents state.
He was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail and is being held without bail. No court date has been announced. All charges are allegations. McIntosh is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
