Sandy City Parks & Recreation and the Utah Avalanche Soccer Club are accepting registrations for a $35 Fall Soccer Academy at Lone Peak Park, starting Monday, Sept. 14.

The program is open to boys and girls in pre-K through second grade. Each child receives a t-shirt and a soccer ball.

Sessions run Mondays and Tuesdays at Lone Peak Park, 10140 S 700 E, with two time slots: 5–6 p.m. and 6–7 p.m. Instructors and staff lead weekly skill-building sessions.

The Utah Avalanche Soccer Club, a member of the Elite Clubs National League, already partners with Sandy City Recreation on its Tiny Tots program for 5- to 8-year-olds, according to the club's website.

The Sandy Journal event listing notes spots are filling fast. No specific registration deadline has been announced.
