One person was hospitalized with a stab wound after a fight broke out near 222 W. Harrison St. in Sandy on Sunday, July 26, and police are asking the public to help identify four suspects who fled before officers arrived.

Sandy City police responded to reports of a fight in progress shortly after 1 p.m., according to Sgt. Michael Olsen, a department spokesperson. When officers reached the scene, they found two victims rather than suspects among the multiple people involved.

One of the two had what Olsen described as a "smaller stab wound" and was taken to a local hospital. The injuries are non-life-threatening, he said.

The victims told police four Hispanic males were involved in the fight. All four left the area before officers arrived.

Suspects not identified

As of Sunday evening, police had not located any of the suspects and had no additional identifying details such as clothing, height or a vehicle description, Olsen said.

"We were unable to locate them," Olsen told Gephardt Daily on Sunday. "We have no further information on those suspects at this time, but we are working the case to continue to try and figure out if we're able to identify those suspects."

The department has not announced any arrests or scheduled a follow-up briefing. The investigation remains active.
